About Us

Diana Hoang is a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering. She is involved on campus in many student organizations such as the Vietnamese Student Association and Theta Tau Professional Co-Ed Engineering Fraternity.

The research topic that she will be discussing is how there is a bully in everyone. How does one identify a bully and the role the individual plays in the situation? She hopes that the reader will understand the complexity of the human mind and the paradigms associated with the concept of being a bully.

Joe Zwiebel is a senior at the University of Pittsburgh pursuing a degree in Communication and Rhetoric. He is an aspiring broadcaster with a love of sports, food, friends, family and community service.

Being an avid baseball fan since the age of 9, Joe has become more and more interested in the demographics in Major League Baseball since his move to Pittsburgh in 2010. He hopes to increase awareness about the changing racial landscape among fans who love America's national pastime.

Kara Poliskin is a senior at the University of Pittsburgh pursuing a marketing degree with a communications and leadership certificate. She loves murder mystery novels, to-do lists, anything gold, a homemade fire on a cold winter nights, friends and family.

Having witnessed cyber bullying first hand at her middle school, she hope to share the personal stories she recall as well as sharing the stories of others who were too intimidated to do so. Her hope is that the pieces she composes throughout the semester will try to help prevent cyber bullying against middle school students in the future.
